Alan M. Leff, M.D. is among the foremost pain management practitioners in New York City. Among his pioneering accomplishments is the use of CT Guided Deep Muscle Botox Injections for muscle spasms in the back, neck or legs. His years of training at the most prestigious medical centers enables Dr. Leff to personalize pain management regimes with a high success rate for patients. His clinical experience provides the knowledge and expertise to design successful pain management protocols for patients who have been living with their pain for years and often have no where else to turn. For example, he has devised a topical analgesic compound which is specially prepared by prescription and is effective for the treatment of pain caused by such conditions as Post-herpetic Neuralgia (shingles).

A graduate of New York University School of Medicine, Dr. Leff received his medical training at Montefiore Hospital and Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. He extended his training with a fellowship in anesthesiology pain management at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He then went on to be the Director of the Pain Management Department at New York University Medical Center. Dr. Leff entered private practice seven years ago where he has treated thousands of patients suffering from chronic pain, helping them manage their debilitating conditions and quickly resume the activities of normal living.

As Director of the Pain Management & Rehabilitation Medical Services of New York, Dr. Leff oversees all patient care and leads the team in developing personalized treatment plans for each patient. Dr.Leff's primary goal is to restore function and well-being in all of the Center's patients.

Dr. Leff is a member of The American Society of Anesthesiologists, The New York Society of Anesthesiologists, The American Pain Society, The International Association for the Study of Pain, The American Society of Regional Anesthesia, The International Anesthesia Research Society and the Eastern Pain Society.
